How far away can Motionscape detect movements?
Motionscape works best within a 1m/3ft range. The motion sensing has high sensitivity, so it can detect other movements near you.
Does Motionscape use my camera?
No, Motionscape does not use the phone’s camera. The app’s PureTone Motion technology uses the phone’s speaker to emit a constant, high-frequency tone above human hearing range and analyzes the signal received by the microphone to detect nearby movements.
Is Motionscape safe to use?
Yes. Motionscape plays a very quiet, high-frequency tone which most people cannot hear. The energy projected is much quieter than many sounds from other electronic devices and general ambient noise.
Can I wear headphones while using Motionscape?
Motionscape is powered by unique technology that senses movements which requires the use of both the microphone and speakers on your device. Unfortunately, this technology is not compatible with headphones or bluetooth devices (yet...). However, we are actively investigating ways to allow external devices to be used at the same time as the app is running.
How is Motionscape different from other relaxation apps?
